According to Indian Origin Development Economist Jayati Ghosh;

    Lack of fair and equal access to incomes, resources and opportunities creates more unjust, unhealthy, and unhappy societies. As a result, this situation kills people.

Summary;

     Since the pandemic began, a new billionaire has emerged every 26 hours.

     While the world's 10 richest people are doubling their wealth, 160 million people are being pushed into poverty.

     Approximately 17 million people have lost their lives due to Covid-19, the highest number of deaths since World War II.

      As large-scale pharmaceutical companies around the world continue to monopolize health technologies, vaccine discrimination will increase, leading to an extraordinary increase in global inequality and more deaths.

    Poor people in some countries are up to 4 times more likely to die from Covid-19 than rich people.

  According to the report, in at least 73 countries, IMF-supported austerity measures worsened domestic inequalities and significantly increased inequality of all kinds within countries. They have negatively affected not only inequality but also women's rights and gender equality. Women in many countries are reportedly witnessing a second wave of increased gender-based violence.

     The cost of these inequalities to humanity is increasing day by day. Inequality causes 21,300 people to die every day.
